Guide Dogs Fundraiser

Posted by Shona Sutherland on Friday, February 12, 2016

On the 6th of February, Cargill's Restaurant and Bistro hosted a great event to raise funds for the Name a Puppy scheme for Guide dogs, also in conjunction with Discover Blairgowrie.

It was a very busy afternoon!

It was lovely to see such a passionate bunch of crafters there, all giving an example of the work they do on a daily basis.

Those attending were:

Tartan TED Crafts

Realcycle Design UK

Michelle Hewitt Artist

Rachel Bower Fused Glass Design

Sarah Cave Silversmith

Warpweftweave Studio

And of course me!

Everyone who came along were captivated with the information about each of the crafts, and gave generously to the cause! Several hundred pounds was raised, and this was added to the running total which goes towards naming a Guide Dog puppy. If you'd like to donate and choose a name, pop down to Cargill's and you'll be guided on to how to do it! Or have a look at the Discover Blairgowrie Website for more information.

Hopefully there will be similar events again soon!
