Taystful Online Trio of Chocolate Desserts Masterclass 19th September 2020

This online session enables us to work through making the miniature Trio of Chocolate Desserts together while you are in your own home or workspace, all the while being able to communicate and see myself and other participants...as near to a face to face course as possible, while apart! 

The session will be around 3 hours (likely to run over), an will require a fair amount of planning and preparation time too. Places will be limited, so we can work through each stage efficiently. I am delighted to be introducing some patisserie work to the online courses! 

This particular session is suitable for those who have already gained baking and chocolate experience. It has various components, so covers a wide range of skills, which are so versatile you can use them in many applications eg. afternoon tea or as individual desserts. 

The desserts will be: White Chocolate and Raspberry Parfait, Chocolate and Passion Fruit Financier and Mocha Truffle Mousse and Caramel Cup.

A particular mould is required and can be bought at Home Chocolate Factory, if you can't get there let me know and I'll source more. 

You can have more than one person in your house/workspace working along with the recipe (just register one person/space), as long as you are happy they are on the Zoom online session. 

You will have the option to purchase the speciality ingredients (recommended), for example, specific chocolates, transfer sheet and chocolate cups, while you will supply the store cupboard and perishable ingredients - namely eggs, sugar, cream, vanilla, nuts, glucose, butter, flour, cocoa, passion fruit puree, raspberries, salt, coffee, brandy, marmalade. 

Once you have registered, you will receive more in depth information on ingredient quantities and an indication of what Taystful will provide you with. Normal kitchen utensils will be required, but a microwave, temperature probe, a particular silicone mould, freezer, silicone mats (something like this is fine, at Amazon), electric hand whisk, oven and accurate digital scales would be essential.

This course is taught by Shona Sutherland, winner of the Chocolate Category of the Scottish Baking Awards 2014, the Chocolate Category of the National Chocolate Awards at the Perth Chocolate Festival 2014, Gold Medal and Best in Class Winner at the Scottish Culinary Championships in the Chocolate Display Class at ScotHot 2015, Gold and Silver Medal winner for filled chocolates at ScotHot 2017, Bronze medallist for chocolate showpiece at the Culinary World Cup in Luxembourg 2018, and member of the double silver winning Scottish Culinary Team at the Culinary Olympics 2020. 

Price per person: £30 plus the specialist ingredients if required £12 

Time: 10am to 1pm approx (may run over)

Restrictions: This course is only available to those over 16 years of age, unless accompanied by a parent or guardian online.

NB. Taystful online courses will contain allergens: soya lecithin, milk, gluten, nuts, eggs and peanuts as either main ingredients or traces. Artificial colourings will also be used.
