WINNING CAKE at Scottish Baking Awards, Mar Hall, Glasgow, 28th September 2014
I am delighted to announce that I WON the chocolate category of the 2014 Scottish Baking Awards!
It was a fantastic day at Mar Hall near Glasgow, with champagne reception, afternoon tea and of course the awards ceremony!
It was a great showcase for all the wonderful baking talent in Scotland.
My class was judged by the amazing Ali and Frederike from the Chocolate Tree in Edinburgh, so it was such a pleasure to meet them and discuss chocolate!
I hope you like my entry - here it is! The base, bark, log slice, flower, leaves, berries are all made from chocolate and the cake is hazelnut ganache, raspberry and bramble pate de fruits, chocolate mousse and chocolate sponge laced with Whisky!
